Press Release

By J. Lee Jackson, Spotlight Magazine

I’m sitting here with David Johnson in his fall home in Rapid City South Dakota to shine a spotlight on his journey to success.

“You have a nice home. Love the view of the trees stretching throughout the valley below and the hills reaching upwards behind them.”

“Thanks. You should see the view at night with a full moon beaming down into the valley and the hillside, with snow on the ground, and dots of lights scattered throughout. Magical, just magical. Something about early winter snow, cold weather, burning wood, and gorgeous scenery that gives me goosebumps.”

After exchanging a few more pleasantries and tour of his home and property, we sat down for the interview. We chose Mr. Johnson for our publication because he has a unique perspective worth sharing to our readers.

“Before we begin, let me just say you’re in fantastic shape for someone who’s 68 years old and living their dream life. So David, tell our readers, how did you get here?”

“Well, thanks Lee. I need to go back to my childhood because I believe your environment makes a huge impact on how you live your life. My journey began at 7 years old when I and my 5 brothers and sisters were placed in an orphanage for 5 years. My mother was divorced, broke, and couldn’t support us.”

“Wow, that must have been rough on you?”

“It certainly shaped my personality for decades. I became the person who preferred solitude and self-dependance. When I moved out onto my own I used sweets for comfort in my solitude.”

“So, what changed to make you the person I see in front of me today?”

“Well, about 4 years ago I was drifting aimlessly, had been for years. No goals, no financial safety net, essentially penniless, and to put it bluntly, a ‘fat body’. And then I discovered a training program called Master Key Experience. I had been reading and listening to all sorts of self-help for years but this program was different for me, much more beneficial.”

“How so?”

“It showed me the way out of my shell of solitude and self-dependence. I learned to love myself so I could love others. I’m a completely changed man. I built a successful business I had wanted to build for 22 years but didn’t have the confidence for. No longer need sweets for comfort. Always wanted to have the body of a middleweight boxer. And here I am, fit, healthy and the vigor of a stallion.”

“And this home?”

“I call this my fall home because I went to college here in Rapid City and I’m fond of the area and enjoy the change of seasons. I’ve lived in Florida over 40 years and I terribly missed the seasons. I still have a condo in Stuart and live there in the Spring when it’s really nice and sunny.”

“What about friends and family? “

“My business success has allowed me to travel and spend time with friends I’ve known for a long time. Did I mention I have 9 brothers and sisters? They’re all over the country. It’s nice to drop what you’re doing and go spend time with them.”

“Anything else you’d like to share with our readers?”

“My success, if you want to call it that, didn’t come until my 60s. It doesn’t mean I was misfortunate up until then, I wasn’t. What I will say is, it’s never too late for your success and happiness. What ever happened in your past or is happening now is not the final chapter to your life. You can change. There’s a glorious spirit inside of you wanting to shine your light on everyone around you. Never stop trying, never give up, and have faith. Because your greatness is within you, and it’s waiting for you.”

“Thanks David, truly inspiring.”

“Thank you Lee for letting me share.”
